About Do Your Homework Media

Do Your Homework Media is what happens when a man who lost decades to a wrongful conviction comes home and decides that nobody around him should ever accept an official story without doing their homework.

Founded by Darrell “Diamond” Jones, an exoneree who served approximately 32 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, this platform stands on one idea: if they say it’s “in our name,” then we owe it to ourselves and each other to know exactly what is being done.

Do Your Homework Media uses real stories, real cases, and real people to teach. We don’t talk about justice in the abstract. We look at what happens to human beings, families, and communities when systems get it wrong – and what it takes to fight back and make things right.

What we stand on

  • Truth: We ask hard questions, look at real evidence, and refuse to be satisfied with polished narratives.
  • Education: We believe youth, adults, and elders deserve tools to understand how things really work – in courts, politics, community, and culture.
  • Respect: Through Your Flowers Now, we make sure the strongest links in our communities are honored while they can still feel it.

This is media that expects something of you: to listen, to think, to ask, and to act. It’s homework – not for a grade, but for your life, your people, and your future.

Do Your Homework Media lives in churches, schools, conferences, living rooms, and on the streets – anywhere people are ready to do their homework on the truth.

Homework for youth and adults

We’re building tools that turn “homework” into something bigger than assignments: a habit of asking, learning, and honoring.

Youth Homework

For kids and teens, homework starts with school – but it doesn’t end there. We add real-world lessons on justice, history, and resilience, plus space to honor the people who’ve held them up.

  • Assignment tracking and study support.
  • Stories and lessons from exonerees and elders.
  • Pathways to give “flowers” to mentors and family.

Adult & Community Homework

For adults, homework means understanding how decisions get made – and how to respond. We build modules and conversations that walk through cases, policies, and community power.

  • Case breakdowns and system explainers.
  • Guides for local engagement and advocacy.
  • Space to honor community builders and strongest links.
